Michael carr has 15 years experience as an Industrial Designer and has spent his career so far working largely with the premium and luxury industries, specialising across technical products, fashion, homewares and lifestyle. He has designed, developed and launched award winning collections for a variety of high profile brands such as Braun, Vivienne Westwood and Uniform Wares, working alongside true pioneers at each end of the design spectrum; From the somewhat hedonistic world of fashion, with Vivienne Westwood, to the more restrained world of industrial design, with Dietrich Lubs, A protege of Dieter Rams.
As his career has progressed, he has developed a wider knowledge of the creative process, design strategy and product development, And the important role that research and analysis play to allow for deeper insights, focussed story telling and ultimately more successfully driven solutions.  This understanding has helped him spearhead new business partnerships, launch brands and lead projects, working with clients and teams along the way.
michaels work demonstrates a deep understanding of consumer behaviour and the functional and emotional bonds we form with the products we use.  As well as an acute appreciation of the sometimes delicate relationship between the creative and commercial aspects of a project or business, and how the careful balance and unification of these elements and the teams involved IMPACTS the ultimate success of the outcome.
His work sells across a network of high profile international stores such as selfridges, barneys, Mr Porter AND END, and features regularly in publications such as Wallpaper, T3, hypebeast AND hodinkee.
